Polar Lights USS Enterprise Refit 1:350th Scale

Polar Lights released this amazing kit a few years back. It sold quite well, and there are many unbuilt ones sitting on shelves in workshops everywhere.

The reason is it's such a big project to do right. I know I was intimidated as I contemplated the building of my favorite Enterprise.

Well I bit the bullet and ordered the Aztec Dummy paint masks from Cultvman.com and got the glue out. I also thought about lighting it, but that was another $300 and probably 50 hours of work! So I kiboshed that idea.

Getting it ready for a model contest in 3 months time seemed reasonable. so I thought. It wound up taking me right to a week before the contest to get it ready. The end product was impressive but not perfect so it didn't win any awards, being able to say I built it was reward enough.
